you can only improve yourself if you are trying

My blog for example is not perfect. Sometimes I go through the articles I have written so far and the sentiments, thoughts, ideas and mindworks are not perfectly described or I still wasn’t able to put to paper the exact describition of how I felt. Writing isn’t easy and so is not any other activity or living life in general. But if you do not try you will not get better. I believe that you can get good or near to perfection in anything you want to achieve. The boundaries are your own mind, the thoughts you surround yourself with and how and in what way you let yourself influence by others. Moreover you have to believe in yourself and do not push down yourself. Your ideas are good! They are worthy looking at. Self-esteem is important and let your creativity and phantasies take place even if they seem stupid in the first place.

Personally,I think music is extremely powerful for the creative thinking and making process. Once of my recent discoveries is: Laura Welsh. I think she has a great voice which gets me totally and reminds me a little of Florence & the Machine…Give it a try!

Recently I have been reading a really good book by Kay Pollak…it is really thin but it takes a long time until you have read it because you have to not only read but understand. This book has put a new point of view towards my opinion about relationships. I do not mean only romantic relationships but contact with different people in your life. People come and go into your life and sometimes you wonder why and you cannot really understand the purpose. I’m a human who reflects a lot, my own behavior, thinking, the way I act upon other people, what I have said and how I have communicated with them. The book inspires you to take another look at the encounters you make in your life, through every person you meet you are able to learn something for yourself. Sometimes this person stays in your life in order that you learn a lesson others stay a lifetime and are a great complement to your life and sometimes you even learn something about a person you meet one day and never see again. It depends on your own way of thinking, how you view the people and the environment you surround yourself with. Some communications do good for you and your being, others hurt you deeply and letting go of that person does hurt even more because you are letting go of maybe only a sequence of yourself as well. You do not know what is going on in the thoughts of someone else, how they interact with you, what their intentions are if they even know it by themselves. But this book taught me that I’m able to change my thoughts, I’m able to take every person as they are and understand whether they are capable of giving love or whether they are scared..scared of life or of themselves and they actually seek for love. Moreover I believe that every person is acting out of its best in every moment, sometimes this is more or less for another person but we are not in the position to judge.

If you are judging another person, you are never judging the whole being. It is easy to judge a person by what you are seeing but it also produces negative feelings inside yourself. You are never fully happy if you judge other people, it only harms yourself. The way you are meeting people, the way you interact with them, communicate with them, feel them, inspire them or think about them tells a lot about yourself and whether you experience negative feelings with it, the problem lays in your own system of thoughts. Sometimes you have to take a step out of the box and look at it from a different point of view and understand what this person is trying to tell you (not only with their language and words). I believe that every person you meet can positively affect you, no matter how they have made you feel even though you felt disappointed for example. Because its what you take out of it for yourself, how you deal with the energy, the communication with this other person. If you understand this, then this enriches your life and the relationships you have with different people in such a good way. Try it!

Ps: If you want to know more about the book, just ask!

This is going to be my first entry on traveling and I’m so nervous. I love traveling, it makes me feel alive, I love the feeling to be on the road, to meet the people you love and to meet new people and I also love to get back with many memories and new experiences. But nowadays everyone travels the world so that stories about traveling and seeing new places is nothing really special anymore and you can find blogs on traveling like sand on the sea. Anyway, from time to time I’m going to share some hidden tips for places I have visited.

I would have never thought that Munich would be the first review I would write in my travel section. I would have to say a thousand things about Berlin or Madrid but…Munich is now my first trip with this blog. It was not the first time that I have been to Munich but this year I was perfectly in time for the Oktoberfest (which I haven’t seen actually, shame on me). In my mind, I have a thousand negative stereotypes about Munich and actually even after the second time I have been there, I still cannot say that it would be a city I love or a city where I feel alive. Nevertheless if you ever have the chance to visit Munich, do so because there are still some interesting things to see.

First of all, the architecture is amazing. The whole inner city seems to be so organized and structured and when you walk down the street from Odeonsplatz towards Giselastraße (U-Bahn station) you can admire all the university buildings which represent some historical mood.

Since I’m always looking for the different, the unorganized and the individual, my highest recommendation for Munich is Glockenbackviertel. For me it contains some Berlin atmosphere and you can loose yourself in small streets with different cafés and shops or walking towards the Gärtnerplatz where are a lot of nice restaurants, bars and cafés. One evening we went to a wonderful, yet totally different bar called Zephyr. Its always totally crowed on the weekend, so if you want to catch a space, come before 11pm. They are famous for their home made cocktails, freshly and often with individual preferences made. The atmosphere is really cosy since the interior design is mostly black with a lot of small lights.

Besides discovering the nightlife of Munich, you should at least visit Englischer Garten once. While walking towards Eisbach, you can see people surfing there. Its truly amazing and fascinating. I was standing there for at least half an hour and it just calmed me down.

If you need a break from all the walking (I’m always discovering a city through walking, you get to see most of it), then you could go to Königin 43 which is nearby Englischer Garten. If you prefer something more cosy and small and you need the perfect hangover breakfast, you should go to Corso, where you can get your freshly made eggs in all variations.

If you have the chance, you should discover Munich by night while driving. I did that with a Drive Now Car and it was so wonderful and calm.

I love to be on the road, it makes me feel alive. So sooner or later you’ll get a new entry on traveling.

Sooner or later in life you get to a point where you can feel disappointment and pain all over your body and mind because something in life did not go as you thought it would be. You maybe had the perfect plan of your life, thinking about your future career, the places you want to live in, the people you want to surround yourself with. And then bäm! something happens in your life which you would have never expected and you are sitting there, watching your own life passes by and you feel like you do not have any control anymore and don’t know how to react. Your mind is a genius but dangerous tool, it romanticizes a lot of situations, ideas and plans you have for your own happiness because thats what we do, we believe in the good. This is not a wrong way of living your life. If you fill yourself with mistrust you will not enjoy the moment because on the next corner something bad could happen to you.

This is life and it happens to all of us. Life is no candy shop where you can only buy the sweet things you need. Disappointments and failure leads to open new doors, to understand new perspectives and to think differently. It does not mean that your life is now in ruins, you should stop worrying and understand that it means that you have the opportunity to be the person you want to be and you feel to be.

the season is changing

It is getting cold and my mood is currently swarming around cinnamon chai lattes, cosy sweaters, candles, the smell of freshly baked cake and raindrops which are pattering on the rooftop. If anyone has read this so far, they’ll know its autumn time. It is really strange but this year I’m looking forward to autumn and winter and even christmas. It does not seem so far away anymore and I’m not craving for bittersweet summer memories. Currently I’m in the mood for the cold, rainy days and cosy tea times with friends. I often have the feeling that with the change of seasons, there comes a different attitude and mood in your inner thoughts and emotions too. You are getting prepared to change, to adapt and to rearrange your mind. I want to explore the nature on a regular basis now, I want to take walks, enjoy the autumn sun and just breath. I love the feeling when you are taking a walk and you are totally packed with loads of clothes because its so freezing you feel the cold on your cheeks and finally when you get home the hot tea and some sweets are so much more satisfying.

What I have recognized is that my taste in music changes a bit when its getting colder…I love those dark, heavy voices on whiskey and those scratchy, melodic guitar tunes even though in in general and especially in summer I prefer some more electro and techno tunes.

But my all-time favorite which would suit my autumn mood would be Bon Iver (listen to it).

Start by letting go

To let go…

Why did I name my blog live to let it go? For me it contains everything what life is about. Let it go is one of the hardest tasks for most of the people. To let it go does not have a negative connotation in my eyes, it just makes you realize that you should write serenity in big words. Emotions are important, emotions reveal what we really want, where we want to go in life and serenity shows you that experiences and things that happen or have happened to us in life are important in order to let us grow. But do not let those experiences guide your path of life. Only through experiences you become the person you want to be but to be able to move on and let new experiences into our life we need to learn to let it go. We like the habit, the comfort we live in. Often, we do not feel ready for a change. Change does not has to be socially big, like moving to another city, getting a new job or getting married. Change is what happens inside of us and leads to the outside factors, which everyone can see eventually. Change can be a change in your nutrition, a change in how you treat people, a change in how you view the world or a change in how you cope with your past to only name a few examples.

I do not want to convince anyone with this statement but depending on my current state of mind I have those thoughts and just want to inspire and share. I hope that you can create the life you want to have no matter what risks you need to take.
